Words Make Worlds

In all of us reside the warrior of the light and the serpent of discord, and they manifest themselve

‍Some people speak, and they instantly  soothe your soul; Some provide you the strength to face your challenges in life; While others have the ability to inspire people to action, using simple and heartfelt words.

And there are a few others who, even with possibly good intentions, have the rare ability to “kill” people’s souls; those who sow hatred, discord, and conflict, wrapped in a fine cloth of “truth” and “knowing better than others.”“They” are those whose very presence in a room, makes other run for the exit sign even as “they” simply say hello; for who knows where “hello” will lead?Everybody is facing their own battles in life – some more difficult than others; yet even as they do so, they face life with grim determination, with a smile on their lips, and good words for their fellowmen. In all of us reside the warrior of the light and the serpent of discord, and they manifest themselves in the words that we use. It is our choice which of the two we decide to release on the world; and our initial choice – determined by our hearts – will either uplift the spirits of our fellowmen, or extinguish their joyful soul.First comes the decision, then comes the actions, then  habit forms. A habit of the heart, a habit of the soul. One builds, the other destroys. One unites people, the other divides people. One calms confused minds, the other stokes anger, malice and resentment.

Forest 1

What will you choose to share with the world? The language of the heart that builds a better world,Or the poisoned words fermented in a place of hurt and longing; and deep, dark sorrow for a world that could have been?Your words, your world.
