A Thousand Mirrored Selves

One of life's deepest mysteries is that, if we are keen enough, contemplative enough,  then we know that our inner selves are frequently projected in our outer worlds.

As within, so without.

When we hate, love, despair, resent,  rejoice,  or feel whatever intense emotions we have, we see them with other people we encounter in our lives.  Particularly when we try to suppress  deeply felt, negative emotions.

We tend, unconsciously, to project these parts of us on certain people we encounter around us.  We then repeatedly encounter fragments of ourselves on others.

And unless we come to terms with our demons, embracing our darkness and our shadows, we will continuously encounter them in people and events and call it our fate.

But when we focus on our inner light, and continuously embark on a path of personal transformation, we simultaneously and positively change the psychic echoes of  our shadowed past,

while creating a future of positive possibilities.

How then do we integrate all the facets, the fragments of ourselves in an integrated whole?

Do deep self-reflection and find the courage to embrace the totality of you - your dark side, your inner light, and everything in between.

Do journaling. Have a series of conversations with a person you trust and admire and can confide with. Have enlightening conversations with a counselor, a life coach, a psychotherapist, or a spiritual person. Or the older, younger, wiser version of you.

Engage in the world of art, any form of art will work. Do theater arts.  At the same time, have more self-compassion and a sense of humor.

Trust the process and the timing of things.

When the student is ready, a mentor will appear.

Synchronicity awaits those who are on the path of personal transformation.

You will experience a deep sense of joy despite the struggles of your soul;

on the path of embracing the thousand versions of yourself.

Found among strangers and in  the most unlikely places at the soft edges of the world;

where reality bends and dreams and shadows embrace as one.

May you finally find your way  back home,  embracing the totality of you.

Enveloping the thousand versions of you.
