Not All Who Wander Are Lost

To all of my friends and clients who are fighting their own silent battles: in mind, body, and spirit.

Here's a metaphor for you, from Kahlil Gibran:

-----

“We wanderers, ever seeking the lonelier way, begin no day where we have ended another day; and no sunrise finds us where sunset left us. Even while the earth sleeps we travel.

We are the seeds of the tenacious plant, and it is in our ripeness and our fullness of heart that we are given to the wind and are scattered.”

-----

May you find kindred spirits who you can sit beside with, for a time; sharing your stories of successes and silent desperations.

And, rekindled, continue on your journey of personal transformation.

Of duty and service, of physical and mental struggles, of life lived on the edges, and glimpses of magical moments.

May your adventures bring you to the soft edges of the world. Where reality bends, where we encounter scary things and wonderful possibilities.

And may you come back from those different dimensions of the world, to share your tales of metamorphosis.

Wiser. Kinder. Gentler.

May we all fare well.
